ABOUT ME
I was born in 2002 in Greymouth, New Zealand and grew up in Mapua, New Zealand.
My interest in music began early on and I began piano lessons in 2008, beginning to compose shortly thereafter. I began studying percussion and violin alongside my piano studies in 2016 to help with my composing and understanding of other instruments. While at school, I played in a number of musical ensembles (including orchestra, brass band, jazz band, chamber music groups and choirs), and had the privilege of these groups performing works I'd composed in my final years of schooling. I took a gap year in 2021, completing my piano ATCL with Distinction during this time. My love of composing and sharing my music with the world has led to me pursuing this at university, with my studies commencing at the start of 2022.
Aside from my musical endeavours, I have several other very special interests. I have been dancing (ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary) since 2006 and competitively since 2007, and now have the privilege of teaching younger pupils in preparation for dance competitions and have had many national and international travel opportunities thanks to dance. I also thoroughly enjoy skiing, running, making videos (usually about trips I have been on), calligraphy, watching films and occasionally a bit of LEGO® (as seen on TV!).
